Mag was born in Krakow, the ancient Polish city. Historical environment and specific atmosphere at home fool of architectural drawings and free hand sketches had significant impact on her future choices. Drawing was as natural as any other activity. After the high school (with the profile in arts) she was accepted to the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. 5 years of art education gave her foundation to express creativity in many ways. She spent equal time painting, sculpting as well as designing furniture and interiors. Mag visited Canada in1999, for the first time, and then she traveled to New York and back to Denmark, where she worked in glass for a couple of months. When she came back home she completed her MA in fine arts and got her diploma as an interior designer. In 2004 she came to Canada again, this time to stay. Year later she enrolled in the craft and design program at Sheridan College.

Her natural curiosity and good educational foundations help in many ways. The work is usually balancing between functional design and artistic aesthetics. Especially the aesthetics derived from well balanced compositions, forms and colors. During her creative escapades into the picturesque surroundings areas she admires, learns, and observes imprints in her memory those trips, sometimes sketching, sometimes taking snapshots. Usually it happens in series which helps to develop continuity of the creative process. She thinks at this moment the most important quality in her paintings is the mood of the place: simple things calmness of the water, light shimmering, atmosphere of relaxed simplicity and honesty. As being a new Canadian observing the surroundings and feeling the vast natural outdoors helps her to bond here and feel at home.
